2004 First city wide poetry slam for the youth. Robert F. Kennedy Community Center
2005 Featured an open performance space for teenage artists (singers, rappers and dancers). Robert F. Kennedy Community Center
2006 Launched the pre-slam performance workshop series for teens at local libraries. Robert F. Kennedy Community Center
2007 Launched the pre-slam performance workshop series for teens at The Bridge. The competition included youth from Savannah, GA, Valdosta, GA and West Palm Beach, FL. Emmett Reed Community Center
2008 Partnered with youth leadership organizations such as The Bridge and Journey to Womanhood. Winner of the Jacksonville Youth Poetry Slam, represented as team captain at the National Youth Poetry Slam in Washington, DC. Emmett Reed Community Center
2009 Students from Kirby Middle School interviewed & filmed the slam participants. Event was sponsored by Jiffy Lube , Pepsi, and Papa John. Jacksonville Public (Main) Library
2010 JYPS begins partnership with Public Library. Jacksonville Public (Main) Library
2011 JYPS begins partnership with PACE Center for Girls. Jacksonville Public (Main) Library

2014 Launched Workshop Series: My Life In Rhymes Wesconnett Regional Library
2015 Top 6 six poets formed Team P.O.M.E. (Product Of My Environment).
